The Leif Nilsson Spring Street Studio, Gallery & Gardens at 1 Spring Street in Chester Center, is hosting an evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres to raise money for Flashes of Hope, an organization that raises funds to accelerate a cure for children’s cancer while honoring the unique life and memories of every child fighting cancer. The event is from 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Tickets are $20.00 per person to benefit Flashes of Hope.

Flashes of Hope was founded in 2001 by the parents of a child with cancer. Flashes of Hope is a volunteer driven organization solely focused on children's cancer. With chapters in 55 cities, they photograph more than 50% of the children annually diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Since it’s founding in 2001, they have photographed 31,925 children at hospitals and camps across the United States. For too many families, the Flashes of Hope portrait is the last one they have of their child.

Enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live music and a chance to learn more about Flashes of Hope while surrounded by impressionist paintings by Leif Nilsson and photography by Caryn B. Davis who is a volunteer photographer for Flashes of Hope. Designed by Sláinte Event Planning and Design, this is an evening you sure won't want to miss!

A volunteer photographer for Flashes of Hope at the Hole In the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut, Caryn B. Davis of Caryn B. Davis Photography says “although it is difficult, it is also incredibly uplifting to see them at camp, having fun and getting to be children again, if even for a day. Flashes of Hope coordinated all the photo shoots and paid for all the photographs that went to the families to give lasting memories of their children.”
