This large oil painting on linen canvas
measuring 48 inches by 54 inches unframed and 53 inches by 61
inches framed was painted by Connecticut Impressionist artist
Leif Nilsson in his own garden in Chester, CT on sunny afternoons
in the spring of 1998. The compostion depicts the artis's backyard
garden in full springtime bloom with azaleas. In this detail view
the stone path leads the viewer into the garden and invites him
or her to sit under the weeping cherry tree in the outdoor furniture
