This oil painting on linen canvas was painted on location in front of his studio in Chester, Connecticut by American Impressionist artist Leif Nilsson during the summer of 2003. The composition portrays the rose arbor in full bloom along with the Siberian irises. The geranium in the pot on the brick planter had just started its first flush of blossoms for the season. The painting measures nine by twelve inches unframed and is fourteen by seventeen inches mounted in the Florentine Style hand made and leafed finished corner frame shown here.
